In the heart of Glowveil Hollow, where the trees hum with bioluminescent spores, the wind carries secrets. The air is thick with the faintest scent of damp earth and something sweetly ancient. Locals speak of a wind that drifts through the hollow, bearing the spores of the Hollow’s great toadstools—yet few know its true name.
The spores drift like silver dust in the dim light of the hollow. They cling to the skin, the hair, and the breath of those who wander too close. The Hollow’s toadstools—some as tall as a child, others sprawling like ancient ruins—shed them in gentle waves, carried by the wind.
It is called Veythari—the name whispered by the elders. Some say it means "the breath of the hollow," while others believe it translates to "the sigh of the forgotten." The wind is neither cold nor warm; it is the gentle exhalation of the land itself.
Veythari is most noticeable during the Glowveil Nights, when the spores thicken in the air and the hollow shimmers with an eerie glow. Those who breathe deeply of the spores report dreams of floating through the hollow, weightless and luminous.
Yet, the wind is also a reminder of the hollow’s solitude. It carries no sound but the rustle of leaves and the distant call of the Hollow’s Echo—a bird whose song is said to be the last memory of the wind before it fades into the trees.
